Transplace facilitates Dole’s North American freight network

Transplace, a third party logistics provider, has facilitated Dole Food Company’s strategic transportation services for their over-the-road North American freight network.

Dole, which is a producer and marketer of fresh fruit and vegetables, has employed the 3PL provider's transportation sourcing methodology, powered by CombineNet's proprietary sourcing technology solution.

The 3PL provider provides Dole a systematic approach to developing a transportation sourcing strategy.

Transplace considers all critical business factors and recommends strategic assignment of carriers to all of the lanes within the Dole's North American freight network.

Dole Food vice president of global logistics Ulises Carrillo said the partnership the company has with Transplace has proven to work very well and has assisted in its efforts of contracting for cost competitive, service-minded and capacity committed transportation services to move its North American over the road motor carrier freight network.
