C.H. Robinson secures logistics contract renewal with Tesco
Third-party logistics provider C.H. Robinson has secured a contract renewal with British multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer Tesco.
The renewed contract will increase the existing distribution of its range of products across Poland.
C.H. Robinson has been mangaing a portion of Tesco Poland’s business since 2011 out of its Gliwice distribution centre.
To synchronize its existing operational model in Eastern Europe, Tesco expanded its current logistics relationship with C.H. Robinson.
The move extends Tesco operations to C.H. Robinson’s Gliwice, Poznan, and Teresin divisions.
With around 30,000 employees, Tesco Poland operates around 400 stores across the country thet serves about five million customers per week.
C.H. Robinson Europe president Jeroen Eijsink said: "Tesco has been part of the C.H. Robinson customer portfolio for the past five years, and we are excited to expand the current business, and purposefully strengthen the relationship further.
